Napoleonic Code-1804:

• Napoleon said about introduction of many of the reforms that he introduced in France and various regions he conquered.

          Although Napoleon no doubt destroyed democracy in France,but in the administration field he had incorporated revolutionary principles in order to make the system more rational and efficient.The Civil Code 1804 -Usually known as Napoleon Code of 1804= 

1. He took away all privileges based on birth.
2. He secured the Right to Property.
3. Established equality before law.
4. He abolished the Feudal System and freed peasants from Serfdom and manorial dues.
5. Guilds restrictions were removed.
6. Transport and communication systems were improved.
7. Peasants,Artisans,Workers and Businessman enjoyed a new found freedom.
8. Introduced uniform laws,standardized weights and measures,and common National Currency. 
9. Good facilitated the movement and exchanged the goods and capital from one region to another.

• This Code was exported to the regions under French control.
